A new North Park Lounge owned by Mark Baranowski will open along East Carson Street this summer.
North Park Lounge is coming to Pittsburgh's Southside. Owner Mark Baranowski, a Pine Township resident, said he recently purchased the old Town Tavern at 2009 East Carson Street. He plans to renovate it with a restaurant on the first floor and an entertainment on the second floor. The North Park Lounge Southside location is scheduled to be open by the end of July or early August. In addition to the original North Park Lounge at 8701 Babcock Boulevard in McCandless, Baranowski also owns the North Park Lounge and Bamboo bar in Cranberry, the Cabana Bar in Wexford, and Bonnie & Clyde’s in the Pine Tree Shoppes in Wexford. Incumbent Jason Altmire concedes after Critz captures the seat in Tuesday's Democratic primary.
Incumbent Rep. Mark Critz has won the Democratic nomination in a close primary that pitted him against incumbent Rep. Jason Altmire for the new 12th Legislative District, according to unofficial results. Altmire, 44, of McCandless, whose 4th District includes Sewickley, and Critz, 50, of Johnstown, Cambria County, were locked in a tight race to the finish for the chance to represent much of Western Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives. As of 10:50 p.m., Critz had received 29,643 votes to 25,206 cast for Altmire by voters in the sprawling district.
