Cokesbury, a national retailer of Christian books and other products, is closing its only Western Pennsylvania location as well as all of its U.S. stores.
The Cokesbury store at 19015 Perry Highway is closing its doors in April after 20 years in service. Amy Smith, spokesperson for the national retailer of Christian products said Cokesbury, said the closure is part of a plan by United Methodist Publishing House, the parent company of Cokesbury, to close all 57 stores across the country. The Perry Highway store in Marshall Township is the chain's only location in Western Pennsylvania. "More of our customers are shopping online and in our call center," Smith said. She said the chain will begin focusing on online sales and services at Cokesbury.com and providing services through its call center.
