Henderson, who is representing himself, said the videos do not prove anything. He is charged with raping and robbing three women.
The prosecution in the trial of Arthur Lamont Henderson on Thursday used surveillance camera videos to show his alleged whereabouts on the day he is accused of raping a woman in Ross Township, according to local media reports. But Henderson, who is representing himself, countered that the videos do not prove anything, KDKA reports. The 39-year-old North Side man is charged with raping and robbing two women in Ross and one in Hopewell in January 2012. One video shows a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt walking down a hallway leading to a Citizens Bank ATM in Manchester where police say the man tried to use three credit cards belonging to a Ross Township woman who had just been raped, according to KDKA. Henderson cross-examined detectives and …

Eric Ewing also is charged with defiant trespassing and driving with a suspended license.
A former Pine constable charged with making a false report to police is scheduled for a July 10 formal arraignment. Eric Ewing, 54, of Gibsonia, waived his preliminary hearing when he appeared last week before Magisterial District Court Judge William K. Wagner. The misdemeanor charge was issued after Ewing told police someone shot a surveillance flare near his Gibsonia home on April 17, police said. A witness later told police that Ewing shot the flare, according to the criminal complaint. Ewing said he believed the flare was an attempt—either from someone with the U.S. government or some faction of organized crime—to send a message that they were watching him, the complaint states. This week, Ewing faced additional unrelated charges in …

In the first two days of the trial, 17 former female patients testified that the Wexford doctor touched them inappropriately.
Two rheumatologists testifying Wednesday as expert witnesses said Dr. Thomas Tyma's exams of female patients were appropriate, but one of the experts based that opinion only on the Wexford doctor's clinical notes. When Dr. Chester Oddis was asked about descriptions in testimony from 17 former female patients who said Tyma touched their breasts and buttocks inappropriately, he said those exams were not appropriate. Tyma faces 17 indecent assault charges and 16 harassment charges, based on reports from women who were examined by Tyma at Allegheny North Arthritis Center in Wexford and Jameson South in New Castle. Tyma will take the stand Monday when the nonjury trial before Common Pleas Court Judge Donna Jo McDaniel resumes. Oddis, a …
