A Mt Lebanon man compiled clips from 29 films shot in Pittsburgh turned them into a music video.
From "Silence of the Lambs" to "Dark Knight Rises" to "Jack Reacher," Pittsburgh has been the backdrop to more than two dozen Hollywood films. Mt. Lebanon native Aron Zelkonwicz, who grew up watching many of those films, decided to take it one step further by gathering iconic Pittsburgh scenes from 29 films shot in Pittsburgh and compiling them into a music video. “I thought it would be fun,” he told KDKA'S John Shumway. “I had seen all these movies filmed in Pittsburgh and thought why not take the parts everyone wants to see, the shots of Pittsburgh, and put those together.” His labor of love took weeks, in between rehearsals and performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony where he plays the cello. A Pine-Richland parent discovers a video on his child's cell phone showing teens participating in the dangerous activity, also known as the Pass-Out Game.
First in a Series "It looked like she was dying right in front of us." That's what a Pine-Richland father said after recently watching a video of his daughter playing the Pass-Out Game with a group of friends from middle school. He saw his child hyperventilating, then someone grabbing his daughter from behind and squeezing until she passed out. The PR parent said it took only seconds for his teenage daughter to wake up, but watching it felt like an eternity. The father, who asked for his name and that of his daughter to be withheld, said he recently found the recording during a routine check of the teen's cell phone. These highlights of Pine-Richland vs. North Allegheny in boys soccer are posted on YouTube. Pine-Richland ended the season with an 18-3-0 overall record and 11-1-0 conference record. PR defeated NA 1-0 on Sept. 6 and again on Sept. 15. North Allegheny had a 10-4-3 overall record and an 8-3-1 conference record.

The annual rite benefits Toys for Tots.
When Pine-Richland students stuffed five buses full of toys in 2012, it certainly wasn't the first time. These videos show years past when students from Pine-Richland High School, Pine-Richland Middle School and Eden Hall Upper Elementary School joined forces to collect toys and deliver them to 96.1 KISS FM Morning Freak Show DJs Mikey and Big Bob at Miracle Mile Shopping Center in Monroeville. The Morning Freak Show sponsors a yearly "Stuff A Bus" drive to collect for Toys for Tots. Gibsonia-based Monark Student Transportation Corp. donates the use of the school buses and provides the drivers.
