Pine-Richland residents now have a chance to experience global cuisine without leaving the country—or even the area. Noodles & Company, a fast casual chain specializing in noodle dishes from Thailand to Italy, opened this week in the Wexford Plaza, near Whole Foods, along Perry Highway. “The basis of our menu is flavors inspired from around the world, and then we also have soups, salads and sandwiches,” said Noodles & Company spokeswoman Mandy Melby. The Colorado-based company—which has more than 300 locations in 28 states—began opening restaurants in the Pittsburgh market in 2011, Melby said.
