PRHS French Teacher Honored
Joyce named finalist for Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year.
French teacher Thomas Joyce doesn't need awards to feel like a success. Yet accolades were bestowed upon the Pine-Richland High School educator this year when he was chosen as one of 12 finalists for the prestigious 2011 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year award. The Teacher of the Year serves as a spokesman for all teachers around the state, according to the Department of Education. Jeffrey Chou, an elementary school teacher from the Abington Township School District in Montgomery County, won the state title in October.
