Ex-Miss PA Sheena Monnin Launches Defense Fund, Says $5 Million Arbitration Isn’t Final

The beauty queen from Cranberry also posts a new video explaining some of her actions—including why she called the Miss Universe organization “trashy.”

Sheena Monnin, the ex-Miss Pennsylvania USA from Cranberry, is continuing to fight back against the $5 million lawsuit Donald Trump filed against her last year after she claimed the Miss USA pageant was rigged. This time, she’s saying the arbitration judgment made against her in December has yet to be confirmed. “There was an arbitration judgment decision made on December 10th, 2012. The judgment was sent to the Southern District Court of New York to be affirmed,” she said in a statement to Patch. “The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) announced they had ‘won’ a $5 million judgment against me on December 18th. It is apparent that the MUO knew that the arbitration judgment had NOT been confirmed when they released the news to the public.” …

Ex-Beauty Queen from Cranberry Speaks Out on $5 Million Trump Lawsuit

Former Miss Pennsylvania USA Sheena Monnin says a clause in the Miss Universe contract could prove her claim the contest is rigged.

Despite a $5 million legal judgment against her, it appears Sheena Monnin won’t let her war of words with media mogul Donald Trump go down without a fight. The Ex-Miss Pennsylvania USA from Cranberry once again took to her Facebook page to express her dissatisfaction with the Miss Universe organization—and this time she said a clause in the organization’s own contract gives credibility to her claim the contest was rigged. “Since I had no idea that an arbitration hearing had taken place until receiving notification of the judgment made against me, I would like to release an initial response,” she said on her Facebook page Thursday. Monnin resigned as Miss Pennsylvania in June, just days after the televised Miss USA 2012 pageant took place. …

Former Miss Pennsylvania USA contestant Sheena Monnin quit after alleging the pageant was rigged.

Miss Universe co-owner Donald Trump has made good on his threats to sue for “massive damages” against a former Miss Pennsylvania USA contestant from Cranberry who claimed the pageant was rigged. According to the New York Post, Trump won a $5 million legal decision against Sheena Monnin, who turned in her sash and crown just days after the Miss USA 2012 pageant aired in June. In statements made on her Facebook page, Monnin said the televised contest was fixed. A fellow contestant saw a list of the top five women in the pageant before judging began on the show, she claimed. She also called the organization fraudulent, lacking in morals and trashy. Trump immediately responded, branding Monnin, who did not place in the pageant’s semifinals, a…

Fox News reported Wednesday that a second Miss USA contestant has stepped forward to collaborate Monnin’s story that she heard Miss Florida, Karina Brez, reveal the list of finalists backstage before the pageant’s Top 15 were announced June 3. The contestant, who spoke to Fox on the condition of anonymity, said Brez appeared upset and flustered as she revealed the names. “I thought it might be because she didn’t make the top 15 cut, but at that point she was able to reveal to me at least four of the five names who went on to be the top girls,” the …

Miss Universe Organization co-owner Donald Trump says he plans to file a lawsuit against former Miss Pennsylvania USA contestant Sheena Monnin after she accused the pageant of being fixed. “She said some really strong things,” Trump said during an appearance on NBC’s Today show Wednesday morning. “When she’s using the word ‘fraud,’ that’s pretty strong, so we’re going to be suing her on that basis.” Calling the pageant fraudulent, lacking in morals and even trashy, Monnin turned in her sash and crown Monday. “After 10 years of competing in a pageant system I once believed in, I now completely and irrevocably separate myself in every way and on every level from the Miss Universe Organization,” Monnin, of Cranberry, said in a statement on …
