Vision for Vacancy: What Should Fill Storefront That Planet Pittsburgh Vacated?

The Village at Pine has a variety of stores—is something missing?

A storefront in the Village at Pine has opened up and we're wondering what you think should go there. Planet Pittsburgh was the former tenant, but now the space is empty.  The storefront is bordered by All That Jazz and Quest Diagnostics in the popular Pine Township shopping plaza that also includes Market District and several restaurants. Leave your suggestions in the Comments section below. …

You can find jackets, T-shirts, Troy Polamalu Bobble Heads, wine glasses, bibs, a little-girl Steeler cheerleader outfit, Steeler salt-and-pepper shakers, a Steeler birdhouse and caps. Schlichtkrull will celebrate Small Business Saturday by giving customers a 10 percent discount on …

Steelers Gear Taking Off at Planet Pittsburgh

New Pine Township store is all Steelers, all the time.

Titus has a special connection to the Steelers; she works for the Paul family, who are part owners of the Steelers along with the Rooneys. The shirts were stacked by size along the counter, while store clerk Sarah Schlisctkrull double-checked to be sure she had counted them right. Titus is a frequent visitor to this new Village at Pine store, which Schlisctkrull says opened the week before Christmas. The store carries all things Pittsburgh sports-related -- clothing, gift items, even a few …
