Anyone wearing Pittsburgh Penguins gear will receive a free cookie.
Eat’n Park is giving guests something to smile about Wednesday—especially if they’re wearing Pittsburgh Penguins gear. To celebrate the delayed start of the National Hockey League season, Eat’n Park is giving away free Smiley Cookies to anyone wearing Pens attire to the restaurants on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Wednesday also is the first home game of the season for the 2-0 Pens. Any form of Penguins attire is acceptable to qualify for the free black and gold Smiley Cookie, made especially for the 2013 hockey season. The store in the Village at Pine carries a wide array of sports-related items
Looking for a gift for a Pittsburgh sports fan? Planet Pittsburgh is a good place to go. Located in the Village at Pine in Wexford / Pine Township, the two-year-old store has clothes—from baby sizes to adults—as well as framed photos, team gnomes, bobble heads and more. Former Penguin plays in Winter Classic Alumni Game at Heinz Field.
Troy Loney took it in stride when the Penguins and Capitals ended their Winter Classic Alumni Game in a tie today. "It would have been nice to have a winner, but at this stage in our lives, we're okay with it," said the former Penguin who donned his No. 24 to play in the New Year's Eve matchup. Loney lives in Richland Township. Fans at the game's outdoor rink at Heinz Field chanted for a shootout, but the final score remains 5-5.
