Report: Pine-Richland Offensive Lineman Details Why He Chose Cal U

Patrick Kline, who signed a letter of intent to play football for the Vulcans in February, also is a member of Wrestling Buddies program recently featured in People magazine.

Pine-Richland Patrick Kline will soon be trading in his horns for a blacksmith’s hammer. The Rams standout senior offensive lineman in February signed on to play football in the fall at California University of Pennsylvania. Although offered football scholarships to several other schools, the Vulcans felt like the best fit for him, Kline recently told the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. “I saw the previous success, and once I met with the coaches, I knew it was the school for me,” he said. “I will major in business or biology and minor in a foreign language.” Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 270 pounds, Kline earned an All-Section honorable mention his junior year as a center, this despite only playing three games there at the end of the …

Three PR Athletes Sign With Colleges on National Signing Day

Olivia Brandy, C.J. Jackson and Patrick Kline put their post-graduation plans in writing.

Three Pine-Richland athletes signed letters of intent Wednesday, committing to play sports at Penn State, California University of Pennsylvania and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Olivia Brandy will play soccer at Penn State; Patrick Kline will attend Cal U to play football; and fellow football player C.J. Jackson will play for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Hawks. They signed their letters and posed for photos in Pine-Richland High School's athletics office. Also in attendance were five football players who plan to be walk-ons at various colleges: Kevin Rader—Youngstown State T.J. Muzzonigro—Tufts University Luke Merhaut—Clarion University Nicolas Elms—is deciding between several schools Brock Baranowski—Penn State. …
