On Tuesday, Pine-Richland’s own Jackie Evancho will join forces with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh for a concert celebrating great songs from the movies. “Jackie Evancho: Songs from the Silver Screen,” takes place at 7:30 p.m. and will feature music from her PBS television special, Great Performances: Jackie Evancho: Music of the Movies. Jackie Evancho will perform as part of an unprecedented Cirque du Soleil extravaganza at the Bellagio's "O" Theatre in Las Vegas on March 22 to support a global philanthropic effort called ONE NIGHT for ONE DROP on World Water Day, according to the singing star's website. ONE DROP, a nonprofit organization created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, works to secure water access by implementing integrated and unique water projects around the world and to reverse the growing water crisis by raising awareness for water-related issues.
