I think Madeleine O'Neil was the big winner of the night, even though she didn't get first-place. Not only was her award the nicest-looking one, but it was presented to her by Jackie herself. Can't top that!   more ›

What's Next for Jackie Evancho?

Now that "America's Got Talent" is over, more music is on tap for the 10-year-old Richland fifth-grader.

Now that life has returned to somewhat normal after her run on "America’s Got Talent," what does Richland’s Jackie Evancho have on her calendar? The 10-year-old will be going to Houston next week to sing with the Houston Chamber Choir, according to her father, Mike Evancho. “We have received a lot of offers since the show, so we have to limit her schedule,” he explained, “She’s only 10, and we want her to have a kid’s life too.” Jackie will sing with the Houston Chamber Choir at St. Paul’s Methodist Church on Feb. 18 as part of the Brilliant Lecture Series. This particular concert was chosen, said Evancho, because it benefits a youth-in-education program. “We look at where it is, what is a good cause, things like that. We chose this one …
