The home builder is previewing a single-family community that will be built in McCandless.
Heartland Homes is previewing a new single-family community with a get-together at its model home in the Pinecrest community in Pine Township. Although the preview party is in Pine, the new 14-home Waterford Place is located in McCandless Township off Ringeisen Road. The preview party will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, at The Pinehurst Model at 201 Pinecrest Court, Gibsonia. The custom home builder will release the Waterford Place community site map, floor plans and pricing for the homes at the preview event. The Heartland Homes team will be on hand to answer questions in an open-house format. Private appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first- served basis. He, and members of his family, are believed buried near the 18th hole of the old golf course. Who is Casper Reel? “Reel, a prominent early European settler of northern Allegheny County, was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and immigrated to the colonies as a young child,” according to the Papers of Casper Reel which are part of the collection of the University of Pittsburgh Historical website, and the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania. The season premiere of HGTV's "Showhouse Showdown" will feature Cranberry when it airs at the beginning of March. In each episode, two professional interior designers take over two newly built houses with mirror-image floor plans. The designers will compete head-to-head, creating five signature rooms in each house using identical budgets and on the same schedule. Keeping the stakes high and the designers on track will be host Bob Guiney, from ABC’s The Bachelor. Area residents who attended the Cranberry taping of HGTV's Showhouse Showdown can see if they appear on TV in March. About five episodes of Showhouse Showdown have aired on TV. Cranberry's episode was the eighth to be filmed and was expected to air in October. Due to competition during the Monday night television lineup late last year, HGTV postponed airing the series. HGTV and Stone & Co. Entertainment partnered with Pittsburgh’s Heartland Homes in August to film an episode at the Mystic Ridge development in Cranberry.
