Nearby: Emiliano’s Mexican Restaurant Plans New Location

The family-owned restaurant with several locations around Pittsburgh is proposed for the former CiCi’s Pizza.

Another new restaurant is in the works for Cranberry Township. At Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting, officials approved a liquor license transfer for Emiliano’s, a Mexican restaurant with three other locations in the Pittsburgh area. Ron Henshaw, Cranberry's director of community development, said the restaurant is proposed for the former CiCi’s Pizza located off Freedom Road in the Cranberry Mall. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant closed about a year ago and has been empty ever since. Henshaw said the liquor license is being transferred from an establishment in Butler According to owner Benny Ulloa, Emiliano’s offers authentic Mexican dishes without the expensive prices. Bites Nearby: Emiliano's Mexican Restaurant & Bar

Authentic Mexican food right here in Richland Township.

Overview: I went to graduate school in New Mexico and had the opportunity to travel to nearby Mexico quite a bit, so I consider myself a bit of a Mexican food expert. When I moved back to the Pittsburgh area, it became my personal challenge to find good, authentic Mexican food. I’m happy to say that Emiliano’s Mexican Restaurant & Bar is one great find in this quest! I have learned not to judge a restaurant by its outside, strip-mall exterior. As often as not, you step inside and are instantly transported into a lovely setting as is the case with the Richland location of Emiliano’s.
