Merry Christmas! For the second year in a row, Patch figured the best gift we could give you on Christmas Day would be a concert of Christmas songs by Jackie Evancho of Pine-Richland. We also figured she's a little busy today being a 12-year-old enjoying the holiday with her family. When Shailen Abram was born 15 years ago, he was a mere 1 pound 9 ounces in Allegheny General Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, now housed at West Penn Hospital. Completely blind in his left eye and with limited vision in his right, Shailen went home to an uncertain future. But before he was even a year old, Shailen’s mother saw he had a precocious musical talent. Frank, Dean and Sammy are back at the Kean to fill you with Christmas cheer.
Bo Wagner's “Rat Pack Christmas” is coming to the Kean Theatre. The Rat Pack—Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.—recorded dozens of Christmas songs and Bo Wagner and his merry troupe of cool elves will belt them out in this Christmas extravaganza at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. This brand new Rat Pack show premiere puts the ring-a-ding-ding in Christmas as the classic trio brings their unmistakable Vegas style to your holiday favorites. Tickets are $30 for the show only. A dinner-and-show package costs $52; it adds dinner at the Mount Vernon Restaurant, which is in the same building as the Kean Theatre.
