Pine-Richland Elementaries to Get Free Hockey Equipment
Pine-Richland School Board accepts donation of hockey equipment from Pittsburgh Penguins ASSIST Foundation for district elementary schools.
The Pine-Richland School Board voted unanimously Monday night to accept a donation of hockey equipment from the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to introduce Pine-Richland elementary students to the sport of hockey and also to facilitate an increase in physical activity. There are no district costs associated with this program or for accepting this equipment. The street hockey equipment that Pine-Richland is receiving from the Penguins ASSIST program is available to elementary schools (both public & private) in Allegheny County. In addition to providing the equipment, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and CALU, have teamed up to create a street hockey curriculum for implementation into the physical education …

Hockey Inside/Out site is offering fans who regiter on their site free hockey equiptment, goalie pads, shin, guards, gloves, sticks and some jerseys, curtosey of the hockey lockout and the league.. First come first served, to qualify.   more ›
