Performances kicked off Friday.
Things are getting ‘Big’ around the Pine-Richland area this weekend. After months of practice, Pine-Richland students kicked off Big, this year’s spring musical, Friday at the high school. There also was a complimentary performance Thursday for senior citizens. Big adds music to the comedic tale of 13-year-old Josh, whose dream to be "big" brings "big" complications. The production is based on the 1988 hit movie of the same name starring Tom Hanks as Josh. Nearly 100 Pine-Richland students are involved in this year’s musical. If you didn’t attend Friday’s show, there’s still time to catch Big on the stage. Another show takes place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9. Things are getting Big this weekend. The tale of a 13-year-old boy who made that wish is the story that will be performed this weekend in Pine-Richland High School's annual musical. The shows take place 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, March 8-9 and 15-16 at the high school's auditorium, 700 Warrendale Road, Gibsonia. There also is a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16. In the meantime, check out this YouTube video from Pine-Richland High School's 2012 production of The Wedding Singer. Nearly 100 students involved in production of comical story of 13-year-old who wanted to grow up before his time.
When you were a kid, did you wish to be big? The tale of a 13-year-old boy who made that wish is the story that will be performed this spring in Pine-Richland High School's annual musical. The comedic Big will be performed in March at the high school's auditorium, 700 Warrendale Road, Gibsonia.
