Rape Investigation: What it Took to Catch Arthur Henderson

The combined work of four police departments and the FBI was critical in getting the convicted rapist off of the streets.

Arthur Henderson sits in the Allegheny County Jail awaiting sentencing on March 26 for raping and robbing two women in Ross Township and one in Hopewell during a three-day period in January of last year. His conviction Monday was the culmination of hundreds of hours of investigative work, primarily by Ross and Hopewell police.  "This is a case that exemplifies the importance of cooperation in the criminal justice system," said Ross Detective Brian Kohlhepp, who was one of the witnesses for the prosecution. "The investigation was completed seamlessly with the assistance of the detectives from Ohio Township and Hopewell." Five Die in Pennsylvania as a Result of Hurricane Sandy

No storm-related deaths have been reported in Western Pennsylvania as of Tuesday.

As the rains and winds subside for much of the state today, five deaths have been reported across Pennsylvania as a result of the storm—all but one related to falling trees or branches,  No storm-related deaths have been reported as of Tuesday in Allegheny County, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office. The first reported Sandy-related death occurred Sunday in Lancaster County, according to a 6ABC report. An elderly man was trimming a tree in Rapho Township in preparation for the storm when a limb broke and he fell to the ground and suffered multiple injuries, according to that report. In Northampton County, a youth also died when the all-terrain vehicle he was riding hit a fallen tree, according to the Associated Press. On …
