Pittsburgh Penguins radio announcer Mike Lange—known for his colorful comments like "scratch my back with a hacksaw"—will be at the Gibsonia Giant Eagle for a meet-and-greet Friday. From 5 to 6:30 p.m., Lange also will sign autographs at the store in Northtowne Square at 5600 William Flynn Highway in Gibsonia. The Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters inducted the "Voice of the Pittsburgh Penguins" into its Hall of Fame last month. The Wolfe Pack honored its namesake—Pine-Richland baseball coach Kurt Wolfe—by raising nearly $2,000 Saturday at a run/walk in North Park for colon and rectal cancer research. Wolfe is a colon cancer survivor. The Wolfe Pack—Players About Community and Kids—also won first place for having the most people show up to support the cause at the Big Blue Quest run/walk. The Big Blue Quest, now in its ninth year, is a public celebration to raise awareness that colon and rectal cancer is preventable, treatable and beatable, according to its website. UPDATE: The Chicago Blackhawks vs. Coyotes playoff game will be broadcast at 8 p.m. Thursday on CNBC. Brandon Saad has a "good chance" of playing in the playoffs for the Chicago Blackhawks, according to the Chicago Tribune. The 19-year-old former Pine-Richland hockey star spent most of the season playing for the Saginaw Spirits. The Tribune quoted Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville as saying Saad has a "good chance" of playing in the Western Conference quarterfinals against the Coyotes.
