It’s White Sale Time Again

The arrival of the shortest month of the year, February, only means one thing for this designer:  white sale!  It’s time to think about freshening up the bed and bath and now is the time to do it.   This is the time to take advantage of savings while getting that new look you’ve been desiring.

I’m partial to solid quilts, coverlets and duvets.  I find them serene and a calming effect in the bedroom where you want that quiet feeling.  Sleep and restorative forces come with the proper accoutrements, and to me that means whites, off white and subtle color.

Some of my favorite, yet affordable, choices come from Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and The Company Store.  You’ll find the tried and true popular pieces that are currently on sale for up to 20 percent off. No, I don’t work at any of these fine retailers, but I know a good buy when I see it.

One of my all time favorites is the Pottery Barn pick stitch quilt.  It comes in a variety of hues, sizes and it’s totally washable—a must for me and many of my clients.  It’s also easy to make your bed and make it look neat in a snap.

Restoration Hardware also has the Heirloom quilt which is another go-to piece for me.  I find the wonderful tone on tone finishes subtle, yet full of positive energy required for a restful night’s sleep.

Stay away from fussy patterns with multiple colors---save them for your 9-year-old daughter’s room.  They’re temporary, at best.  Shop now for that expensive piece you’ve coveted that is now in reach.
