Community Corner

Pine Community Day Is This Saturday

New this year at Community Day - the Eurobungy trampoline and the Ultimate Gaming Trailer. Two bands, food, children's activities and fireworks will round out the event.

Pine Township has added two new fun features to Saturday's Community Day lineup of food, fun and fireworks.  The Eurobungy trampoline and the Ultimate Gaming Trailer are making their first appearance at the annual event.

If you prefer your entertainment inside and chairside, the cutting-edge mobile gaming theatre is for you.  Step inside and take a seat on the plush leather couch, grab a controller, and join in various video games for Wii, Xbox, and PlayStation.

After that strenuous exercise, you might need a bite to eat.  Food vendors will offer funnel cakes, pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue, Mexican food, ice cream, yogurt, corn on the cob, and cotton candy.

Take your snack over to one of the picnic tables and enjoy music by The Followers at pavillion 2 from 5-6:15 pm.   They are a three-piece band specializing in classic hard rock.  You can read about them .  NOMad, described on their website as hard-rocking, new country,  takes the stage from 6:30-7:30 pm and again from 8-9:30pm.

As the music winds down, the fireworks excitement will begin.  This year, Pyrotechnico will provide the sky drama beginning at 9:30pm.  You may have seen Pyrotechnico's fireworks at the May 26 Hartwood Acres "PyroFest."
