Yinz Guys Looking For Steelers Gear?

Then Yinzers North Of The Burgh is the place for you!

Ever since the Pittsburgh Steelers became Super Bowl bound, going to the post office every morning to ship boxes of Pittsburgh Steelers merchandise around the country has become a daily routine for Jeff Durkee, and lunch breaks are an afterthought for Denise Durkee.

But they’re not complaining. You see, the Durkees own Yinzers North Of The Burgh.

Located in Wexford, Yinzers North Of The Burgh is the store to check out if you’re a Steelers fan. Stocked with everything from T-shirts and hats to party decorations to autographed memorabilia, the store has everything you need to celebrate the Super Bowl in black-and-gold style.

“One of our hottest items is the Brett Keisel T-shirt,” Jeff Durkee said. “Anything with Troy Polamalu on it outsells everyone else, but Keisel is definitely going like gangbusters.”

An NFL clothing line for women designed by Alyssa Milano has also been flying off the shelves, said Denise Durkee.

Over the past two weeks the Durkees have come to realize that Steelers fans aren’t just limited to Pittsburgh.

“We have people from all over the country that have either been in the store shopping or shopping for others who don’t live around here,” Jeff Durkee said. “There was a guy the other day from Dallas who was here on business and he made a special appointment to come to our store and buy a bunch of Steelers merchandise to take back with him.”

Yinzers North Of The Burgh has expanded its hours to accommodate Steelers fans. Located at 11566 Perry Highway in Wexford, the store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

And, if the Steelers win the Super Bowl, Jeff Durkee said the store has it all covered.

“We have so much merchandise ordered and as soon as that final whistle blows in the game, they start printing and we’ll have it right here.”
