Homecoming Parade

Pine-Richland School District is gearing up for Homecoming 2011. This year’s theme will be “Road Trip America.” Join PR for a parade on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. The parade will begin at Pine-Richland Middle School and work its way to the high school and stop at the stadium. The parade will be contained on campus, so it will not tie up traffic on Warrendale or Babcock Roads.

Members of the homecoming court, AF JROTC, band, cheerleading squad and youth football team will be some of the students marching in the parade alongside the floats.

The following classes will create a float with the theme “Road Trip America” in mind:

Seniors – New York City
Juniors – Las Vegas
Sophomores – Los Angeles
Freshman – New Orleans

There will be food booths and a wing-eating contest. Plus, the evening’s events will be topped off with fireworks sponsored by Tri Rivers Surgical Associates, along with UPMC Passavant, Centers for Rehab Services and MedExpress.
