Allegheny General Hospital Sports Medicine Sponsors Steel City Showdown,

Steel City Showdown, a one-of-a-kind criterium style bicycle race, takes off Sunday, April 17, through the streets of downtown Pittsburgh and the North Side. Allegheny General Hospital Sports Medicine is title sponsor for this unique event that promotes fitness, bicycle racing, and the city of Pittsburgh.

Presented by Steel City Endurance and Iron City Bikes Racing Teams, the race will begin on Federal Street near PNC Park and proceed along a closed 0.8 mile loop across the Roberto Clemente and Andy Warhol bridges, showcasing Pittsburgh’s rivers and scenery. Cash or prizes totaling more than $4,000 will be awarded in categories ranging from kids age 14 and under and junior racers under age 19 to over-50 Masters.
