P-R Standout Unable To Score as Czechs Defeat USA at IIHF Championships
5-2 loss could send USA to Relegation round.
The U.S. National Junior Hockey team, which includes Gibsonia native and former standout , was unable to stop a third period surge by the Czechs and lost its second game in a row of the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship in Alberta, Canada.
The U.S. next faces Canada Saturday night and a loss could send it to the tournament's Relegation round.
Saad accounted for 5 of the USA's 54 shots on goal, but none of his made it into the net.

Saad scored Team USA's only goal in the 4-1 loss to Finland, during the team's second game of the competition. It was the first time that Finland defeated the United States in six years in IIHF U20 play.
Monday afternoon, Saad had one point, an assist, to help the US team beat Denmark 3-11 in its first round-robin game of the competition.
