Blood Donation a Special Gift in the Holiday Season

Blood drive will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Pine-Richland High School.

During this busy holiday season, do you want to give a simple gift that costs nothing and does not even need to be wrapped?

Then roll up your sleeve and come to a blood drive on Thursday in the Atrium at Pine-Richland High School.

The Central Blood Bank will be collecting blood from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to shore up its reserves.

The PRHS Jazz Ensemble is giving the gift of holiday music to entertain donors and volunteers from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Wondering what donating blood is all about and if you qualify? The Central Blood Bank provides the information at www.centralbloodbank.org

To have an appointment scheduled for you, email Christine Misback and provide your name, phone number, date of birth, and desired time to donate. 

Walk-ins are welcome, too. 

Students who are 16 years of age can donate with parental permission.  Click here to print the Parent Permission form to bring on the day of donation.

Students age 17 and over can donate without the permission form.

If you donate, remember to eat a well-balanced meal and drink plenty of non-caffeinated beverages prior to your appointment. A photo ID or Central Blood Bank donor card is required at registration.
