Watch: Glass Class Taught to Pine-Richland and Other Students

YouTube video shows the art and science of glass.

The Pittsburgh Glass Center's SiO2 is a hands-on glass art program for high school students taught in one of the top glass studios in the U.S.

Over 500 students have participated in the high school programs at Pittsburgh Glass Center from schools and home school programs all over the region including Pine-Richland.

SiO2 students create glass art, learn the scientific principles behind glass and apply the life lessons inherent in studio glass art such as teamwork, discipline, communication, leadership, achievement and respect.

Pittsburgh Glass Center offers 12-week after-school programs in the fall and winter, plus a one-week bootcamp in the summer.
