Two Administrators Depart Pine-Richland, New Assistant Middle School Principal Hired

New assistant middle school principal Caitlin Bogosta has been a teacher in the district since 2008.

Pine-Richland School District is saying good-bye to two administrators and hello to a new assistant principal.

At Monday’s school board meeting, officials accepted the resignations of Mary Catherine Reljac, principal at Eden Hall Upper Elementary, and Michele Welter, assistant principal at the high school.

Reljac, who has taken a position as assistant superintendent in the Franklin Regional School District, has not yet determined her last day with the district.

Welter’s last day with Pine-Richland is effective June 28. She is taking time off to pursue her doctorate full-time, according to Rachel Hathhorn, the district’s director of communications.

Hathorn said replacements for Reljac and Welter have not been hired yet.

At Pine-Richland Middle School, a familiar face will be taking over the reigns.

District officials have approved the hiring of Caitlin Bogosta as assistant principal at the middle school.

She will be paid an annual salary of $72,967 in her new role.

A University of Delaware graduate who received her principal’s certificate and her Masters of Education from the University of Pittsburgh, Bogosta joined the district as a math teach at the middle school in 2008.

An active member of the district, she has served as the student government advisor and was on the steering committee for Pine-Richland’s strategic plan. She also is coach of the middle school’s cheerleading and girls lacrosse team.

A Richland Township resident, Bogosta grew up in the area. She is a 2004 graduate of Pine-Richland High School.
