Spring Break Shortened with Snow Makeup Day
The 2011-12 school calendar calls for a later start for the academic year.
Sorry, kids. Your spring break just got shortened by a day to make up for that day you had off for the snow.
April 21, also known as Holy Thursday, is no longer a part of spring break for Pine-Richland School District. It is now deemed an emergency makeup day.
The Pine-Richland School Board voted Monday to make it so.

School board directors also approved the dates for the 2011-12 academic year.
The good news is that you don't start classes until the day after Labor Day. The bad news is the school year stretches into mid-June. Graduation will be June 15.
