PR Schools Return to Regular Schedule Wednesday—No Delay

Parents were notified by district's rapid-call system that Wednesday's planned two-hour delay has been canceled.

After a day off from school, Pine-Richland public school students will be back in classes Wednesday on their regular schedule

A previously announced two-hour delay for Wednesday has been canceled .

The decision to cancel Tuesday's classes and delay Wednesday's opening time by two hours was made in advance of Superstorm Sandy hitting western Pennsylvania.

"Thank you for your patience as we took precautions, as state and county officials declared a 'State of Emergency' not only for Pennsylvania but for Allegheny County," the district's website states. 

"Administrators checked each building for water leaks and have determined the buildings are suitable for school to be in session," according to a statement on the website.

The district's rapid-call system was used to notify parents.
