PR Musical, 'The Wedding Singer,' Opens Thursday

Tickets are available for shows and the "wedding reception."

Sometimes the one you want is right in front of your eyes.

In The Wedding Singer, 's 2012 spring musical, Holly is a party girl who isn't particularly looking for Mr. Right,  but she's dated a lot of Mr. Wrongs. Chief among them is Sammy, bass player in a wedding band. His last gift to her was a T-shirt that read, "I'm with Stupid."

As Holly says, "That's when I knew I was with stupid!"

will premiere at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at . (The venue was moved to the middle school this year because of construction at the high school.)

There also will be 7:30 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday and March 22-24.

For a sneak preview, click on the video above to see Raychel Shipley as Holly realize that, to her surprise, Sammy is the one she wants. Graham Suvick plays the role of Sammy.

Holly and Sammy share a sweet moment when they realize that maybe they are meant to be together.

Another sweet thing about The Wedding Singer is the choral booster fundraiser planned for March 24. There will be two shows that day, a matinee at 2 p.m. and an evening show at 7:30.

Theater-goers are invited to a "wedding reception" in between shows. The reception will feature an endless array of desserts, coffee, tea and punch and entertainment from the cast and a string quartet.

The dessert reception will be from 4-6 p.m. at the middle school. Tickets are $5 each. They can be purchased at the box office, along with tickets to the show, or at the door while they last.  A ticket order form can be downloaded here.

Great seats still are available for both Thursday shows, but tickets are selling quickly for the other shows.

Tickets will be on sale from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.today at the middle school, and 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the high school. Dessert tickets can be ordered at that time or at the box office before each show.
