Pine-Richland Loses to North Hills 18-10

The Rams record is now 2-5 in conference play.

The Pine-Richland Rams owned the first half of Friday night's game against North Hills, but that didn't last.

The Indians scored 15 unanswered points in the third quarter to rack up an 18-10 win over the Rams in WPIAL AAAA Northern Eight Conference play.

The Rams' record is now 3-5 overall and 2-5 in the conference; North Hills is 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the conference.

FIRST QUARTER

Pine-Richland senior Grant Goldberg kicks 38-yard field goal to put the Rams on the board first with 6:11 remaining in the quarter.

End of quarter: PR 3 North Hills 0

SECOND QUARTER

PR senior Luke Merhaut scores on a 57-yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Ben DiNucci. Ben Engel kicks the extra point. With 9:49 left in the quarter, the Rams lead 10-0.

North Hills' Wayne Carney kicked a 20-yard field goal with 1:46 left in the half, making the score PR 10 NH 3.

HALFTIME: Pine-Richland 10 North Hills 3

THIRD QUARTER

North Hills' Jordan Blackmon scores on a 29-yard TD pass from quarterback Brian Johnson. Then Blackmon scores the two-point conversion. North Hills takes the lead 11-10 with 5:37 left in the quarter.

North Hills' Joshua Hulbert scores on a 24-yard run and Carney kicks the extra point. North Hills leads 18-10 with seconds left in the third quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER

No scoring.
