Pine-Richland Schools to View President Obama's Address to Students

The 1:30 p.m. speech will be broadcast via live streaming and TV coverage.

will tune in at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when President Barack Obama delivers his third annual Back-to-School Speech from Benjamin Banneker Academic High School in Washington, D.C.

"Most schools at Pine-Richland School District will air the speech through live video stream, live TV or recorded video," according to the district's website.

"If logistics or scheduling does not permit, schools may rebroadcast or talk about the speech in class."

In past speeches, the president has encouraged students to study hard and take responsibility for their education.

President Obama’s Back-to-School Speech will be live streamed on http://www.whitehouse.gov/live.

For information about the 2011 speech and to see videos of the 2010 and 2009 speeches, click on www.whitehouse.gov/back-to-school. After the live stream, the White House will archive the speech for future viewing.

If parents of students in Pine-Richland schools have questions, they are encouraged to call the principal at their child's school, the district website states.
