Pine-Richland High School's Class of 2012 Graduates!

Nearly 370  seniors graduated Friday on a picture-perfect evening.

The PRHS Class of 2012 filed onto the field at Pine-Richland Stadium for an evening of speeches and the bestowing of diplomas.

Speakers included co-valedictorians Lucas Axiotakis Jr. and Laura Herrle, salutatorian Catherine McAnney and tertiary Ji-Ho Park.

Superintendent Dr. Mary Bucci told the crowd that more than 300 graduates plan to go to college; 10 will join the military; four will go to technical schools; and a handful are undecided.

Two soon-to-be Ivy Leaguers are heading for Cornell University.

All told, the graduates will receive $8.5 million in scholarships.

Of the senior class, 21 seniors earned commended or finalist status in the National Merit Scholar Program, a record number in the history of the Pine-Richland School District and more than double the number of last year’s scholars.
