Pine-Richland High School in Top 10 for Highest SAT Scores in Pittsburgh Area

The Pennsylvania Department of Education released a list of high schools' average SAT scores for 2012 and Pine-Richland is in the Top 10 for the Pittsburgh area.
Pine-Richland ranked No. 7 with an average verbal score of 543, an average math score of 561 and an average writing score of 535.

More than 1.66 million students took the SAT in the class of 2012, making it the largest class of SAT takers in history, according to College Board, which administers the test.
The highest possible score in each of the three categories is 800.
