Neil Walker to Drop Puck on P-R — North Allegheny Game Tonight

Varsity, JV and alumni games to be played on North Park ice rink.

Pittsburgh Pirate and alum  will be at center ice to drop the puck Monday night for "The Ice Storm," a game that pits Pine-Richland against rival North Allegheny at the North Park Ice Rink.

This is a rare opportunity to see the high schools face off: They don't play each other in league games because NA is AAA and P-R is at the AA level.

The varsity game starts at 8 p.m.; it is preceded by a 5 p.m. JV game and a 6:30 p.m. alumni game.

Tickets are $5 for all three games; children under 12 get in for free.

Y108's Stoney Richards will be the announcer. The National Anthem will be sung by Maddie Ince from and Leah Griffin from North Allegheny High School.  Both girls are sisters of varsity players and former teammates on the North Pittsburgh Wildcats Girls U19 hockey team.

There also will be a Chinese Auction for a number of gift baskets and a 50/50 raffle.
