Humorous 'Hall Monitors' Video Wins Three Rammys at Pine-Richland Awards

Pine-Richand's Technology Education Department and PRTV present awards that honor videographers.

"Hall Monitors"—a humorous look at a  security guy—was the leading award winner at the Second Annual Rammy Awards.

The video by seniors Jared and Cullen Grubbs took home three of the five awards presented by Pine-Richand’s Technology Education Department and PRTV.

They won awards for Best Directing, Audience Pick and Best in Show at a recent ceremony held at .

Senior Tristan Webster won the Best Editing Award for his video, "Matryoshka Mayhem." A matryoshka is a Russian nesting doll. In his acceptance speech, Webster thanked his mother for buying the matryoshka when she traveled to Russia to adopt him.

Pine-Richland High School teacher Mario Oliverio won the at-large category for his video, "Mr. Parker’s First Love,"starring senior Clint Loney as Mr. Parker and teacher Jeff Byko as Principal Stark.

Videos submitted by students, teachers and members of the community were eligible for the awards.

Hosted by Pine-Richland seniors Nick Cooper and Nick Drago, this year's show was broadcast live on PRTV’s Armstrong and Consolidated cable stations and was streamed live on the Web at pinerichland.tv, where you can still view all of the entries.
