Five Things You Need to Know This Week

1. Pine Board of Supervisors Meeting

Find out in person what’s going on in local government. Pine Township’s board of supervisors will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 1 at the Pine Community Center on Pine Park Drive.

2. Richland Board of Supervisors Meetings

Learn more about what’s going on in the community as the Richland Township Board of Supervisors meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in the municipal assembly room of the Richland Township Municipal Building, located at 4019 Dickey Road.

3. Computer and Electronic Resource Assistance

Reference librarians at the , will offer free one-on-one assistance with computers and electronic devices at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 4. These 20 minute sessions will allow our librarians to work specifically on what you'd like to learn, and at your own pace.

4. Big Band Night

The Pine-Richland High School Jazz Ensemble will perform the swinging sounds of yesteryear at the Big Band Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 5 at the Pine Community Center on Pine Park Drive. Tickets are $5 per person and include appetizers.

5. Jackie Evancho Returns to Kean Quest Finals

Pine-Richland’s own Jackie Evancho will appear as a guest judge and is scheduled to present the third annual "Jackie Evancho Award," on Friday April 5 at the Kean Quest Talent Search at Kean Theatre in Richland Township.

The 12-year-old competed in the talent search in 2008 and 2009. A limited number of finals tickets are available starting at $14 and can be purchased by calling 724-444-KEAN (5326).
