Dancers Dazzle in PR Musical 'The Wedding Singer'

The musical opens Thursday night, with performances through Saturday, March 17, and March 22-24.

's musicals are famous for the professional quality of the dance numbers.

Last year was the exception, as the somber theme of did not lend itself to the sort of energetic numbers the PR dancers do so well.

This year, they're back and they're better than ever.

The Wedding Singer, opening on Thursday in the , is filled with big numbers that call for dancers with a good deal of talent. 

Dance team captains Rachel Baur, Alaina Zappas and Scott Hilger lead a dance line that does everything from 1980s disco to the precision dancing that suggests conformity and conservatism in the opening number of Act Two: It's All About the Green, a nod to the "greed is good" mantra of Wall Street in the '80s.

The show runs March 15-17 and March 22-24 at 7:30 p.m. at Pine-Richland Middle School. Great seats still are available for both Thursday shows, but tickets are selling quickly for the other shows.

Tickets are on sale today from 1 p.m  to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m  to 8 p.m. at the high school and tomorrow, Wednesday, at Pine-Richland Middle School from 1 p.m to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

It's a high-energy, fun-filled comedy that's sure to leave you tapping your feet and longing for a disco.
