What's Closed on Thanksgiving?

Planning to be home with your family and friends? So is everyone else.

Thanksgiving is a time to gather with family and friends to celebrate and give thanks for life's blessings.

So most places are closed. To be specific, this is what is closed in the Pine-Richland area:

Richland Township offices: Closed Thursday and Friday

Pine Township offices: Closed Thursday and Friday

Pine Community Center: Closed Thursday. Open Friday.

Northern Tier Regional Library: Closes at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Closed Thursday. The Pine Center at Pine-Richland High School is closed Thursday through Monday.

Allegheny County offices: Closed Thursday. On Friday, the Department of Court Records, the courts, and the District Attorney’s office will be closed.  The Treasurer’s office will also be closed, although the division for hunting licenses will be open to the public.  All other county offices will be open.

Pennsylvania state offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.

U.S. federal offices: Closed Thursday.

Wine & Spirit stores: Closed Thursday.

PennDOT: Driver license and photo centers statewide will be closed Thursday and Friday. Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services online through PennDOT's Driver and Vehicle Services website, www.dmv.state.pa.us. 

Vogel Disposal: Closed on Thursday. Your collection day will be one day later if it falls on Thursday or Friday.
