Wexford Medical Mall Gets Final Stamp of Approval from Pine Supervisors
Pine Board of Supervisors votes unanimously to approve plans for the huge complex.
Highmark Inc.'s Wexford Medical Mall got its final stamp of approval Monday from Pine Township's supervisors.
The supervisors voted unanimously to approve Highmark's land development plan for the 174,000-square-foot facility that will cost nearly $100 million. It will be built along Route 19 beside North Way Christian Community.
Highmark officials already held a groundbreaking ceremony in mid-December for the facility it describes as a "one-stop shop for all of your health-care needs".

The ceremony came a few days after Pine Township's planning commission—an advisory body to the supervisors—recommended approval of the project.
Construction of the medical mall at 12311 Perry Highway (Route 19) will be completed in summer 2014, Highmark officials said.
