Reminder: Voter Registration Deadline Is April 18

Allegheny County residents can register in person or by mail for May 17 primary.

Residents who wish to vote in the May 17 municipal primary must register by April 18.

Registered voters who have moved, changed their name or party affiliation must notify the Allegheny County Elections Division by April 18. Voters must be registered with a political party to vote in the primary.

Qualified voters must have lived in their election district for at least 30 days before the primary and be at least 18 years of age on or before the date of the election.

You can register between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Office of the Registration Commission at 542 Forbes Ave. in Pittsburgh. The county Elections Division will remain open until 5 p.m. on April 18 to accept hand-delivered voter registration forms.

Registration-by-mail forms must be postmarked no later than April 18. Registration forms are available at Armed Services recruitment centers, area agencies on aging, U.S. Post Offices and county and municipal government offices.
