Ready to Vote? The Primary Election is Tuesday

Wondering where to vote? We have a list of the polling places.

Ready? Set? Vote!

Tuesday is Pennsylvania's primary election, when voters determine which candidates advance to the November general election.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and voters must be registered with a political party to vote in the primary.

Patch will have coverage of the primary throughout the day. In the meantime, review Pine-Richland Patch Election Coverage to get the scoop on candidates.

To check if you are registered or for other election information, go to the Allegheny County Elections Bureau website.

The doesn't apply until November, but officials at each polling place will be asking for a photo identification card as a trial run to prepare voters for the fall election.

While you don't have to produce one Tuesday, keep in mind that in the general election, having a photo ID won't be optional.
