Pine Supervisors Approve New Traffic Lights

New lights will control traffic at entrance and intersection near high school.

Monday approved permits to install and operate traffic signals at the entrance of on Warrendale Road and at the nearby intersection of Warrendale Road and Babcock Boulevard.

A three-way stop sign currently controls traffic flow at the intersection. 

Installation of the signals is the result of a traffic study conducted for the high school expansion project.

Pine-Richland School District will pay for the new signals, which will be installed before the completion of the expansion, scheduled for the fall of 2012. Supervisors voted 4-0 to approve the new signals.

The supervisors also unanimously approved advertising for bids for a new, 24-foot gazebo to be built behind the It would be available for wedding receptions, concerts and other activities. Friends of Pine Parks has committed $40,000 to the project.
