Pine Board of Supervisors Keeps Things the Same—Dennehy is Chairman and Henry is Vice Chairman

Annual reorganization maintains status quo.

When the Pine Board of Supervisors meets tonight for its semi-monthly meeting, things will look very familiar.

Leading the meeting will be Michael Dennehy as chairman, and to his right will be Philip D. Henry, the vice chairman.

Both were re-elected to their posts earlier this month when the supervisors had their annual reorganization meeting.

Reorganization might not be the right term, though, because very little changed. Here is a rundown of reappointments:

Cheryl Fischer as township manager;

Gary Gushard of Tucker Arensberg PC as township solicitor; 

Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering Inc. for the township's general engineering;

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc. for the township's transportation engineering;

K.L.H. Engineers for consulting engineering;

Scott D. Anderson as emergency management coordinator.

For various boards and commissions, these people were reappointed:

Michael Pfeifer to a three-year term on the Zoning Hearing Board;

Michael Hansen, John Lombardo and Joel Dennison for three-year terms on the Planning Commission;

David Charvara and Lauren Parker for three-year terms on the Environmental Advisory Council;

Renee Evans for a three-year term on the Recreation Subcommittee (two vacancies remain);

Richard Miller and Don Keys to three-year terms on the Parks Subcommittee;

Jeffery Krill to a three-year term on the Building Code Board of Appeals;

Robert Sapinkopf to a three-year term on Northern Tier Regional Library Board;

Michael Dennehy, Philip Henry and Frank Spagnolo as supervisor members to the Board, with Edward Holdcroft and Ted Owen as alternates;

Frank Spagnolo as the supervisor representative to the North Hills Council of Governments, with Ted Owen as alternate;

Ted Owen and Edward Holdcroft as supervisor liaisons to the

Philip Henry as supervisor liaison to the , with Ted Owen as alternate;

Michael Dennehy as supervisor representative to the Police Pension Trust Committee and Ted Owen as alternate;

Edward Holdcroft and Frank Spagnolo as supervisor representatives to PENNDOT;

Edward Owen as the supervisor representative to the McCandless Industrial Development Authority;

Michael Dennehy as the supervisor representative to the North Pittsburgh Community Development Corp. and Frank Spagnolo as alternate;

Ted Owen as chief administrative officer of the Township Non-Uniform Pension Plan, with Michael Dennehy as alternate;

Edward Holdcroft and Frank Spagnolo as supervisor representatives to Friends of Pine Community Parks;

Michael Dennehy and Ted Owen as supervisor representatives to the Audit Committee.

Michael Dennehy as director to the Allegheny County Association of Township Officials board and Philip Henry as the alternate member to the board.
