Last Chance: Mother's Day, Prom, School Board, Pine Supervisors

Welcome to Last Chance, a Patch series reminding you of deadlines you don't want to miss. This week's dates to remember?

1. Monday—Flower orders deadline at Northern Tier Library

Planning to give your mom flowers for Mother’s Day? Monday is the last day to order from . It is holding a special Mother’s Day Flower Sale, featuring hanging baskets, large combo baskets, and both round and square patio planters. Orders can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For more information, please call the library at 724-449-BOOK (2665).

2. Monday—Pine-Richland School Board Meeting

The Pine-Richland School Board meets at 7:30 p.m. for its monthly planning meeting at the administration building at 702 Warrendale Road in Gibsonia.

3. Monday—Pine Cancels Board of Supervisors Meeting

This is a reminder not to go to the Pine Community Center for the Pine Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday. The meeting has been canceled.

The board's next meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. May 21.

4. All week—Reservations and gift shopping for Mother's Day

If you plan to eat out on Sunday for Mother's Day, be sure to make reservations this week—the earlier the better. Some of the special brunches and dinners are booked early.

Also, save yourself some stress by shopping for a present and card early in the week before everything is picked over.

5. Thursday—Pine-Richland School Board meeting.

The Pine-Richland School Board meets at 7 p.m. for a special meeting at the administration building at 702 Warrendale Road in Gibsonia.

6. Friday and Saturday—Mother's Day Flower Sale

Time to pick up those flowers you ordered from Northern Regional Library for Mother's Day. Orders can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For more information, please call the library at 724-449-BOOK (2665).

7. Friday—No school for Pine-Richland School District students.

8. Friday—Prom for Pine-Richland High School

The annual Prom Walk —during which prom-goers model their finery for family, friends and admirers— will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Pine-Richland High School. Participants should arrive at 5:15 p.m. The admission price is $3.

With a Mardi Gras/Masquerade theme, the 2012 PRHS Prom will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight at Heinz Field.
