Public Hearing Testimony Sought on Revised Preliminary Redistricting Plan and Map for the Senate and House seats of the Pennsylvania General Assembly

A public hearing of the 2011 Legislative Reapportionment Commission of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be held for purposes of receiving testimony regarding the Revised Preliminary Redistricting Plan and Map for the Senate and House seats of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, which can be found at www.redistricting.state.pa.us.

Individuals or groups who wish to testify at the public hearing are required to submit, in writing, a brief summary of their proposed comments on or before April 25, 2012.

The hearing will commence on May 2, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Hearing Room One of the North Office Building, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17120.

Additional time to hear public comments may be scheduled if it becomes necessary to recess and reconvene the Hearing of May 2, 2012.

A summary of the witnesses’ proposed testimony should be submitted to Charles E. O’Connor, Jr., Executive Director, 2011 Legislative Reapportionment Commission, 104 North Office Building, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17120-3079.

Summaries should include a telephone number where the individuals can be reached during normal business hours. Also, if possible, there should be a telephone number where that individual or group spokesperson can be reached at other times.

All submissions must be received by the Commission on or before April 25, 2012.
