Bundle Up! Forecasters Call for Bitter Cold's Return in Pine-Richland, Western PA

So much for the warm weekend. Temperatures are expected to drop by Tuesday, and snow is likely to show up today and Tuesday.

You better bundle up this week and prepare for the bitter cold temperatures that are expected to move into Pine-Richland and Western Pennsylvania.

Dennis Sims, a meteorologist at Air Science Consultants in Bridgeville, said he expected the temperatures to drop by Tuesday around the region.

Sims said the middle of the week would have lows in single digits and highs in the teens.

That forecast was backed up by the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh. Meteorologists there are also forecasting 1 to 3 inches of snow today, with a slight chance of snow Tuesday.

Monday: Snow. High near 24. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Low around 7. Wind chill values as low as -8.

Tuesday: A chance of morning snow shower. Partly sunny, with a high near 11. Low around 5.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 17. Low around 12.

Thursday: A slight chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 27. Low around 2.

Friday: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Low around 20.
