Bridge Over Babcock Ready to Go in Time for Holiday Shopping

Just in time for the holiday crush, PennDOT announces that work detouring traffic from crossing the McKnight Road bridge over Babcock will end today.

Long-term traffic restrictions in place on McKnight Road at the bridge over Babcock Boulevard will end late tonight, according to PennDOT District 11.

The lane closures have been in place since June.

Off-peak, short-term restrictions will continue as needed on McKnight Road from Nelson Run Road to Perrymont Road through early 2012. No restrictions will occur that would affect holiday shopping traffic, according to PennDOT.
