Valencia Woman Goes to Hospital After Crash on Route 8

A Valencia woman was transported Friday to the hospital after a collision on Route 8 in Richland Township, police said.

Lauri A. Campbell, 37, ran into the side of a 2002 Honda Civic about 5:45 p.m. when she pulled onto northbound Route 8 from Cook Road without stopping for a stop sign, a report stated.

Rekha Pal, 40, of Gibsonia was driving the Honda Civic, police said.

No Injuries Reported After Chevrolet Hits UPS Truck

No injuries were reported Friday when a 2002 Chevrolet Impala failed to negotiate a curve on Turner Road in Richland Township and struck a UPS truck, according to a Northern Regional Police Department report. 

Nicholas White, 22, of Gibsonia crossed over into oncoming traffic about noon in the section of Turner Road between Route 910/Gibsonia Road and Yorktown Road, said police.

Scott Kincak, 31, of Pittburgh was driving the UPS truck, said police.

Rudolph Auto Repair towed White's 2002 Chevrolet Impala, police said. 

 

Wexford Man's Car Runs Into Ditch in Snow

A Wexford man was cited for leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage Jan. 21 after he slid off a snow-covered road into a ditch and then walked home, said police.

Dale H. Custer Jr., 50, left his 1998 Lincoln Continental about 2:30 a.m. in front of a home in the 200 block of McKinney Road in Pine Township after damaging a mailbox, soccer goal and fence, police said.

“Custer stated that he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway, and after the crash he walked to his residence with his two children ... who were passengers in the vehicle,” according to the police report.

“Custer stated that there were no injuries during the crash and that he was going to have the vehicle towed in the morning," the police report stated.

Hyundai Collides with Vehicle, Fire Hydrant

A Hyundai Sonota ran into another vehicle Jan. 19 on a snow-covered Route 910/Wexford Road in Pine Township, according to a police report.

Lisa Chodkowski, 50, of Mars told police she was traveling east on Route 910 about 5:15 p.m. when traffic began to slow to a stop for a vehicle making a left onto Hill Road, the report said.

Because of the snow, she was not able to stop and struck a fire hydrant and a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu that 20-year-old Hayley Barnes of Ambridge was driving, said police.
